The way our app updates depends on the type of change we're making:
- For minor changes (like small bug fixes or tweaks), we can push an 'over-the-air' (OTA) update directly to the app. When this happens, the user will simply get a pop-up asking them to install the new version.
- For larger or more fundamental changes, the update has to be submitted to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Once approved, whether it installs automatically or needs to be updated manually is completely down to the user's personal settings on their phone.
