The Project Flags feature is designed to help you prioritise your workload effectively. It allows you to manually apply qualitative markers, Escalation, Priority, or Support to projects. Once flagged, you can easily filter, export, and track these projects to ensure the right issues get the immediate attention they need.
1. How to Flag a Project
You can apply a flag to a project regardless of its current status.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Navigate to the project you wish to flag.
Click the Action button.
Select the option to Flag Project.
A modal window will appear. Select one or more by clicking on the option Flag Types:
Priority: Use for high-stakes projects (e.g., VIP Customer, First Driver).
Escalation: Use for issues needing immediate intervention (e.g., Internal, Customer, or Driver Escalation).
Support: Use when assistance is required.
Select a Reason: For every flag type selected, you must choose a specific reason from the dropdown menu.
Add a Comment (Optional): You may add context notes to explain why the flag is being applied.
Click Save. The action will then be posted in the audit log.
Note: Once saved, the flag details will be immediately visible in the Project Summary.
2. Filtering and Managing Flagged Projects
Once projects are flagged, you can use the Projects Page to organise your view and focus on what matters.
Sorting and Filtering
Navigate to the Projects Page.
Use the filter options to select specific Flag Types (e.g., Show only "Escalations") or specific Reasons.
This allows you to create a focused list of projects requiring immediate attention.
Exporting Data
Flag types and reasons are included when you export your project list via CSV. This is useful for creating external reports on project health or team workload.
3. Removing Flags (Unflagging)
When an issue is resolved or a priority changes, you should remove the flag to keep the dashboard clean.
Open the Flag Project modal (via the Action button).
Deselect the flag types you wish to remove.
Click Save.
Result: The flag is removed from the Project Summary, and the project will no longer appear in filters set for that specific flag.
Audit: The action of removing the flag is recorded in the Audit Log for transparency.
4. Advanced Features & Automation
Audit Logs
All flagging activity is tracked. You can view the Audit Log and filter by Project Flag Added and Project Flag Removed to see:
Who applied a flag.
When a flag was added or removed.
Comments attached to the flag.
Automated Workflows (Async Actions)
Your administrator may request we configure Async Actions to automate communication based on flags. These actions can be triggered by:
Any change in flags.
A specific Flag Type being applied.
A specific Reason being selected.
Examples of automation:
Sending an email to a manager when an "Escalation" flag is raised.
Alerting the support team when "Relay Help" is requested.
