Scheduling a job within Pathway will create a job on the Atom App - which is used for your engineers/ technicians/ tradespeople.
Note: The main cause for jobs missing from an engineer's view is that they have not been scheduled correctly!
Getting started.
There are two places that you can schedule a job, we will cover both in this article.

From within a project

When you get to the relevant status in your project, click your usual 'Schedule' action button in the Actions block on the left hand side, for example:
- The Schedule screen will then show in full screen mode, here you will see:
- Your Tradespeople on the left hand side
- Calendar availability in the middle
- A funnel to filter in the top right
- A dropdown to change the view of the calendar from Rolling month to Month, for example

A key at the bottom for the different coloured jobs i.e. Scheduled vs In Progress and so on
- Locate a space in the tradespersons calendar and simply click the day you wish to schedule the job for
- You can use the Filter to filter based on tradespeople if you are looking for a particular person, to make the process even quicker for you

- A pop-up will show, which allows you to:
- See the job/project details such as the address and contact details
- Set the start and end date / time of the overall job
- Set the specific start and end date / time for each tradesperson (if relevant)
- Select the Tradesperson/people, if scheduling in the month view
- If scheduling in 'Rolling Month, Week or Day' view, the Tradesperson will show according to who you selected
- Note: You can minimise the pop-up window by selecting the arrow on the right hand side
- If required, set the tradesperson/people(s) specific date & time that they are required on the job by clicking the "Add specific date and time" button and entering the relevant information.
- If you minimise the window, you will see a greyed out background on the job duration, to show you the overall date & time set, like below:
- If you choose not to do this, each tradesperson will be scheduled for the overall date & time chosen

- To add another Tradesperson, click the 'Add Tradesperson' button, select their name and click 'Confirm'
- You can then add the specific date & times for them if relevant
- The job can have one Lead Tradesperson (explained below) - this is shown by the person icon being highlighted and the word (lead) shown
- You can change the lead by clicking the person icon next to the other Tradespersons name
- You can then add the specific date & times for them if relevant
- When you want to save this, click 'Schedule Now'
- Your job is now scheduled and you will see a confirmation message in the bottom right of the screen - see below for scheduling with overlaps or conflicting appointments
On the main 'Schedule' page
- Click 'Schedule' on the left hand side menu
- You will see the "Jobs Ready to Schedule" section on the left and the Calendar view on the right
- You will see the "Jobs Ready to Schedule" section on the left and the Calendar view on the right
- Within the "Jobs Ready to Schedule" section, you can click the funnel icon to filter the list by job type or by searching by postcode or name
- You can see the available slots on the calendar i.e. where there are blank tiles in the Calendar view
- If you want to view more details about the job that can be scheduled, click 'Project' to be taken to that project
- If you have lots of tradespeople, you can filter the Calendar also to narrow down the calendar view and can also change from 'Rolling Month' to Month, Week or Day
- When you want to assign the job to an engineer you can simply drag and drop onto the calendar
- Note: You can also click 'Assign' and choose the date/time/tradesperson manually

- A pop-up window will show, which allows you to:

*IMPORTANT - Scheduling with overlaps*
If you try to schedule a job over an existing appointment, you will be advised that an overlap has been detected. You will be shown the overlap within the pop-up window you are currently on.
You can choose to either resolve it by choosing a different date/time and then clicking "Check Overlaps" to see if it is resolved, or schedule with the overlaps by choosing "Schedule (with overlaps)".
What is a Lead Tradesperson?
A lead tradesperson has full edit access/rights to the Atom job, so they can complete the Atom job as normal.
The supporting tradesperson will have an Atom job available, but it will be read only with the high level information of the job - there will be a job slot blocked out in their Schedule as normal.
You can see who the lead tradesperson is by clicking on the job tile and hovering over the 'Assigned Tradesperson' section:
