Get Your Installation Approved Faster! 🚀
To help your application sail through the approval process without any delays, keep these key tips in mind. Getting these details right gives you the best chance for a speedy, automated approval.
1. Having crystal clear photos 📸
The most common reason for an application being flagged for manual review is an issue with the fuse cut out photo. Your customers should:
- Take a clear, well-lit photo where the fuse rating (e.g., 60A, 100A) is easy to read. If the automated system can't read the photo, it will automatically pass it to an engineer for a manual check, which can cause delays.
- Double-check that you enter the cut out rating correctly in the application form.
2. Use pre-approved devices ✅
For the fastest result, it's always best to use a device (like an EV charger or solar inverter) that is already registered in the official ENA database. If your device isn't on the list and has to be added manually, the system will flag the application for a person to review it.
3. Looped supply💡
Some properties have a "looped supply," which means they share a single electricity service cable with a neighbour. If your customer has one, the application will always need a manual review by an engineer for safety and planning. This is a standard procedure and can't be auto-approved.
4. If an upgrade is needed 🛠️
If your customer requires an upgrade to their main fuse, an engineer will need to assess the work required. The system automatically sends these applications for manual review to ensure everything can be done safely and correctly.
A Note on Load Limiting Devices
Using a smart device that helps manage your electricity load does not negatively impact the application or make it more likely to be flagged for review.
