The system uses Relays which are automated SMS messages containing a direct link to a webform that is used to collect information from your customers.
Relay SMS Updates: Improved Links and Messaging Experience
We have recently updated our Relay SMS links to ensure your messages reach your customers reliably and inspire confidence. By simplifying our URLs and adding clear descriptions, these updates are designed to prevent spam filtering, build trust with your customers, and ultimately increase your survey and quote completion rates.
Here is everything you need to know about the new Relay SMS experience.
What’s New?
1. Simplified Link Structure We have shortened and cleaned up the Relay URLs that are sent in an SMS to your end customers. Previously, long links with multiple subdomains ran the risk of triggering spam filters or appeared untrustworthy to end-users.
Old structure:

2. SMS Descriptions To provide your customers with immediate context, SMS messages now include a short, clearly defined description alongside the Relay link. On compatible Android messaging apps, a preview logo may also be displayed.
Existing Relay Set-Ups
This update is now live for everyone!
Any existing or active Relays in your system have already been automatically updated with appropriate descriptions, so no action is required on your part for past messages. These descriptions are pre-set and cannot be changed.
New Relay Set-Ups
When a new Relay is set-up moving forward, a short description will be selected based on the most appropriate use case. The current descriptions available are:
Please review and respond to your personalised quote
Please provide the requested details to help us move forward
Please share your feedback
Please complete this short survey about your EV charger
Please complete this short survey about your heat pump
Please complete this short survey about your solar system
The End-User Experience
Here is a quick overview of what your customers will experience when they click the new Relay links:
-
The Preview Page: When a customer clicks the SMS link, they will briefly see a preview page before being automatically redirected to the Relay. In most cases, this is only visible for 1 to 2 seconds. It is fully translated based on the user's settings and includes a "Continue" button just in case they have a slow connection and the automatic redirect fails.
-
The Error Page: If a customer clicks a link for a Relay they have already completed, or if the link has expired, they will be directed to a secure Error Page. This page is also fully translated and safely instructs the customer to contact your organization directly for further assistance.
Notes:
Please note that some phones may not display the short description in the link preview. This is due to individual network, messaging app, or device settings, which are outside of Jumptech's control.
