This guide explains how you and your customers can take advantage of our new video capture functionality, within the Relay self survey.
What is Video capture in Relay?
It is a new feature in Jumptech that streamlines the relay survey process for your customers. It allows them to capture a short (up to 30 seconds) video of the cable route, replacing the previous "charger location photo" question. Find out more by watching this short video!
How Does it Work?
For Your Customers:
Relay Survey: During the Relay survey, your customer will encounter a new step prompting them to capture a video of the cable route.
Recording the Video: Clear on-screen instructions will guide them through the recording process. They can simply follow the prompts to capture a video of the electrical supply route to the designated charger location, within the 30-second time limit.
Optional Step: If the customer doesn't want to record a video, they can choose to skip this step and proceed with the rest of the survey.
For You:
Accessing the Video: Once the customer completes the survey, you'll be able to access the uploaded video in the "Self Survey" section of the relevant project within Pathway, depending on your current setup.
Reviewing the Footage: The video capture provides a valuable visual aid for you to assess the cable route layout. You can view the electrical supply path, identify potential obstacles (like sheds, trees, or parking limitations), and gain a better understanding of the installation environment.
Planning the Installation: With the insights from the video, you can effectively quote the customer and plan the installation process. You can ensure your engineers have the necessary equipment and materials to address any potential challenges revealed in the video footage.
Additional Considerations
Automatic Activation: Video capture has been automatically enabled for all English project types that currently have the "charger location photo" question in your Relay self survey. Localised projects will be coming soon.
Manual Activation: If you don't have a "charger location photo" question currently but would like to activate this feature, contact the Jumptech Support Team for assistance at support@jumptech.eco.
Pathway Update: Ensure you're using the latest version of Jumptech Pathway to benefit from this feature
