Introducing Advanced Project Assignment Options
We're excited to announce new, flexible ways to assign projects to your installers, giving you more control and ensuring a fairer distribution of work.
You can now select from the following assignment methods:
1. Random (Default Method) This existing method assigns projects randomly to any available installer covering the project's location.
2. Sequential (Round Robin) This method assigns projects in a rotating sequence, ensuring each installer receives a project before the cycle repeats. This provides a more even distribution of projects, which is particularly effective for teams with lower project volumes.
We also have the ability for you to set up auto assignment per Project Type. This powerful feature allows you to define an installer's coverage area based on the specific project type.
- Example: You can set an installer to cover heat pump installations in London postcodes while excluding them from EV charger assignments in that same area.
Key Considerations for Sequential Assignment:
Please be aware of the following when using the Sequential (Round Robin) method:
- If multiple projects are processed for assignment simultaneously, they will all be allocated to the current installer in the sequence.
- The assignment order will reset to the beginning of the list if any changes are made to the group of installers (e.g., adding or removing an installer).
How to Get Started
The Sequential advanced assignment features are available upon request. If you're interested in enabling this functionality for your account, please let our support team know!
