Pathway now includes a powerful new Dashboard experience, designed to give you instant, actionable insights into your projects.
How to Use Your Dashboard
You'll find your new dashboard on a dedicated 'Dashboard' page within the platform. Here's what you can do:
- Create Your Own Widgets: Customise your dashboard by adding various widgets.
- Automatic Resizing: Widgets intelligently resize based on how many are on your screen. For example, one widget will span the full width, while two will display side-by-side.
- Drag & Reorder: Easily rearrange your widgets by dragging them into your preferred order.
- Delete Widgets: Remove any widget by clicking the bin icon. (Don't worry, there's no confirmation message for quick clean-up!).
Important Note on Saving! Any changes you make to your dashboard layout are currently saved on your local browser storage. This means if you use a different browser or clear your browser's local storage, your customised layout will not be saved.
Creating a Widget for the Dashboard
Follow these simple steps to add your first widget and customise your dashboard:
- Navigate to the Dashboard: Begin by clicking on the Dashboard tab located on the left-hand side of your screen.
- Add a New Widget: Click the "Add Widget" button.
- Choose Your Widget: Select the type of widget you'd like to add from the available options. (You can find detailed explanations of each widget further down this guide.)
- Give Your Widget a Title: Enter a descriptive title for your new widget.
- Select Project Type (if applicable): If prompted, choose the project type that this widget will display data from.
- Apply Filters: Use the available filters to refine the data shown in your widget, limiting it to the specific jobs or criteria you're interested in.
- Set Refresh Rate: Decide how often you want the widget's data to update. You can choose from hourly, every 30 minutes, or every 5 minutes.
- Define Row Limit: Specify the maximum number of rows (projects or items) you want displayed in the widget. You can set this between 5 and 100.
- Save Your Widget: Once you've configured all your settings, click "Save". Your new widget will then appear on your dashboard!
Available Widgets
Here are the first widgets available for you to add to your dashboard:
Jobs Ready to Schedule
This widget helps you quickly identify all projects that are currently in the "Ready to schedule" status, across all project types.
Configurable Fields:
- Widget name: Customise the title of your widget.
- Refresh interval: Choose how often the data updates (5 mins, 30 mins, 1 hour).
- Max number of projects shown: Set a limit on how many projects are displayed (up to 100).
- Optional text filter: Refine your view by entering text like a postcode or customer name.
Displayed Data: You'll see the Project name, Customer, Postcode, and Actions (allowing you to view the project or schedule it via a pop-up).
Recent Projects
Keep track of your recent projects for a specific project type.
Configurable Fields:
- Widget name: Customise the title of your widget.
- Project type: Select the specific project type you want to track.
- Refresh interval: Choose how often the data updates (5 mins, 30 mins, 1 hour).
- Max number of projects: Set a limit on how many projects are displayed (up to 100).
- Status (multi-select) and/or installer: Filter projects by their status (you can select multiple) or by a specific installer.
Displayed Data: You'll see the Project type, Customer name, Installer, Backend status, and an Action (to view the project).
Important Note: The Status shown in this widget is the internal backend status, which might differ slightly from the customer-facing labels you're used to.
Saving and Managing Your Dashboard Views
You can save different dashboard configurations as "views" to your account.
- Save a New View: Simply type a new name into the search bar at the top of the dashboard. You'll then be prompted with an option to save the current configuration as this new view.
- Edit or Delete Views: To manage your saved views, click on the view name displayed at the top of your dashboard. You will then have the option to edit any of the settings set when adding or delete.
Please note: Dashboards are user-specific, not tenant-specific. This means your personalised dashboards are unique to your login. Also, some widgets may not function for users without access to certain features (e.g., if you don't have scheduling permissions, related widgets may not display data).
