Electrical Certification (EIC)

This guide connects the Pathway setup to the Atom execution to ensure valid, signed certificates are generated every time.

1. The Foundation: Office Configuration (Pathway)

Before an engineer ever opens a certificate on their phone, the office must "license" them to do so.

• Action: In Pathway, go to Users > Edit User> Add edit data.

• Data Requirements: You must upload the Engineer’s Signature (PNG/JPG) and their NICEIC/NAPIT Enrollment Number.

• The "Crossover" Logic: If this section is blank in Pathway, the Atom app will not show the "Generate Certificate" button, or the resulting PDF will be legally invalid.

2. The Capture: On-Site Testing (Atom)

The engineer performs the physical tests and enters the data.

• Action: Engineer opens the EIC Form within the Atom job.

• Smart Logic: Atom uses "Validation Rules." If a reading is entered that is outside of the expected range (e.g., $Z_s$ values too high), the app will highlight the field in red.

• The Sync Point: Every value saved in Atom is synced to the Pathway "Draft Certificate" in real-time (provided there is a data connection).

3. The Handover: Signing & Closing (Atom → Pathway)

The final step in the field requires a digital handshake.

• Action: The engineer signs the "Declaration" on the screen, and (if applicable) the customer signs the "Recipient" box.

• The Conflict: If the engineer hits Submit before the signatures are captured, the job may lock in Pathway, requiring an Admin to "Reset" the document to allow for re-signing.

4. The Final Output: Document Distribution (Pathway)

Once the job is submitted, the PDF is generated.

• Action: Pathway automatically attaches the completed EIC to the Project Attachments.

• Automation: If configured, Pathway can automatically email this PDF to the customer.

• Critical Note: If the office team edits the "Circuit Details" in Pathway after the engineer has left, they must Regenerate the PDF to ensure the document the customer receives matches the updated data.
